National Service Scheme (N.S.S.)
NSS unit of our college was established in the year 1995 with a spirit of
soaring high and an objective of extending soulful service to the society.
Crossing through various milestones during these two decades of successful
journey, at present, the NSS unit consisting of 102 volunteers is determined to
achieve its goal of social service, under the able guidance of our programme
officer Ms. Savita Manchanda (Associate Professor in Commerce). NSS volunteers
are engaged in organizing the following activities through out the session:
Sawatchata Abhiyan weeks.
Tree Plantation.
Blood Donation Camps.
Awareness Creating Rallies.
Slogan Writing Competitions.
Extension lectures on current & informative themes.
Celebration of important Days e.g. Aids Day, NSS Day etc.
Women empowerment Programmes.
Voter�s Awareness Campaign.
Legal Literacy Programmes.
Declamations & Quiz Contests.
Adult education service.
Extending welfare schemes.
Every year, a 7-Day, Day and Night Camp is being organized with the motto
�Not Me Not You- But We�, towards the achievement of above mentioned objectives.
In the camp 100 NSS Volunteers under the able guidance of principal and NSS
programme officer, perform their social duties adopting purely holistic
approach.
